Reason for an Immediate Termination

The reason for termination does not necessarily have to be stated in the letter of termination. However, it must be communicated by the employer in writing without delay if requested by the employee (in accordance with § 626 paragraph 2 sentence 2 BGB). The only exception to this is if the reason for termination is already required by law, for example in the case of a collective agreement.
